A lifestyle of expensive cars, clothes and shoes comes at a cost, and the protagonist of the film seems to be struggling to pay it with her mental health. The opening scene of the story establishes a world of overworked employees, pulling long shifts late into the night. Their disheveled appearance and tired faces serve to further give us a glimpse into the story. 

Amidst this world of men in white shirts, stands a woman in her all-black attire. At the start of the film, we have already been given the suggestion of a loop, and the sense of entrapment that it invokes. We are soon presented with the same sense of repetition and the unbreakability of the said pattern, along with a blurring of lines between reality and illusion. 

The end result is a notable, dedicated attempt, even if marked by a little rawness with regards to control on its visuals. However, it still comes across as a worthwhile endeavor, paving the path for more similar storytelling in the future.

The inability to share or reach out to another person during moments of despair might often lead to severe mental and emotional strain. Someone who battles their struggles alone, without being able to share it with their loved ones, whether by choice or not, often find themselves isolated further, leading to a vicious cycle. The short film wants to be an exploration of the same concern by taking the viewer into the life of its protagonist who finds himself unable to be present with his family or participate with his friends. As he mindlessly glides from one situation to another, finding it immensely difficult to stay afloat, the film invokes a conversation around the importance of mental health and reaching out to one another. A notable aspect of #DontBottleUp remains its visuals which exhibit potential, along with the energy put into performance, paving the path for more such projects by the team in the future.

The film wants to serve as a reminder for the viewer about the true heroes in the context of our contemporary reality. Risking their own lives, as well as staying away from their loved ones, are health workers across the globe at the front lines of the war against the Covid-19 pandemic. The film wants to highlight the same acts of valour for its audience, also emphasising the role all of us have to play in ensuring that the efforts and diligence of doctors, nurses and the entire hospital staff all over the world, are not in vain. In the process, the plot also acquires an educational tone. All of this is achieved simply by using the story of a regular family where a young boy awaits the return of his father on his birthday. However, since the father is a doctor, would the boy's birthday wish come true?
