Shorted showcases the best Short Films in the world from the top filmmakers, agencies and brands working today. Filmmakers can submit their films on our website. Simultaneously our editorial scouts for highly rated short films on the internet.
By submitting a film to Shorted, you confirm that you have read and accept the following and agree to accept the outcome of the vote in accordance with our evaluation system and criteria as outlined below.
Our intention is to be fair when evaluating each film submitted to Shorted, so we’ve created an evaluation system based on 4 criteria: Story, Performance, Editing and Camera.
A nominee certificate and laurels are awarded to all the submissions which receive a rating above 6. For special challenges, like 'Lockdown Challenge' or '2020 Film Challenge', a badge is provided instead.
a. Services may be terminated by us, without cause, at any time.
b. Services may be terminated by you, without cause, by following the cancellation procedures: (i) via your user panel or (ii) via Shorted customer support.
c. Shorted may terminate Services at any time, without penalty and without notice if you fail to comply with any of the terms of this Agreement or the intellectual property protections applicable to these Services.
d. Notice of termination of Services by Shorted may be sent to the contact e-mail associated with your account. Upon termination, Shorted has the right to delete all data, files, or other information that is stored in your account.
Users should note that submitting a film to Shorted does not guarantee they will be showcased on the website. However if the film is not featured for not meeting the minimum criteria, the submission fee will be refunded. The decision of the editorial team is final and not subject to change. The submissions are irreversible and refund is not applicable if the user wants to widhraw the submission after submitting on the website or for not following the rules. It is only applicable if Shorted decides not to feature the film for not meeting the minimum criteria.
We have a zero-tolerance-policy against plagiarism. The film will be disqualified immediately if it is found to be plagiarising or copying content from another in any manner or is not in accordance with copyright laws pertaining to media, cinema and intellectual property. Refund will not be applicable in this case.
We respect the privacy of everyone who visits our site. We do not collect personal information about our users without their knowledge and prior consent. No scripts or devices are used for this purpose. In order to use certain features of our website we may ask you to register by entering some personal information. This information is given voluntarily and will be used only as stated in the paragraphs below.
