Thomas is on a road trip by himself. The calmness of the vast outdoors and nature, however, acquire a sinister, threatening quality soon after the film opens. When he stops to help a man with a broken-down car along a desolate highway, things begin to unravel swiftly. <br><br> 

The camerawork and visuals do a notable job when it comes to world-building, ensuring to maintain the tension first established at the beginning of the film. As the fate of the protagonist remains uncertain, the narratorial progression holds the viewer’s attention throughout. <br><br> 

There are a few snags in terms of writing, but they are overcome by the sincerity with which the performances are brought to life by the actors. It is definitely a welcome prospect to explore this tonality and approach to storytelling in more projects.
