When this is coupled with him calling what seems like an artificial intelligence service, and giving them access to his videos and pictures, a certain image begins to be formed in the viewer's mind.
The revelation of the recipient of this call, however, subverts any and all notions one may have conceived about the protagonist and his current state. Ideas of loss, tragedy and even familial love enter the narrative now, allowing the film to convey its message with all the intent it had set out with at the beginning.
The use of the same physical space, controlled dialogue, and a lean cast and crew further allows the film to reach home in an efficient manner. It is a welcome prospect to interact with more such endeavors in storytelling by the team.
