The film explores a subject matter that is crucial and intrinsic to all our conversations on gender equality. However, this exploration does not weigh itself down with empty rhetoric or maudlin approaches. By delineating a woman’s struggle to procure contraception, a box of condoms, 'Rose V. Wade' portrays the imbalance of power when it comes to reproductive health, and how it's tipped in favor of men.

Additionally, the narrative does not indulge the futile binaries of men-vs-women-arguments and instead adopts a far more endearing approach to the whole circumstance. The protagonist adds to this endearment where her plight, despite being hilarious and entertaining, also draws upon the viewer’s sympathy and solidarity. All the characters that follow by way of many of Rose’s interactions within the film present a conviction of thought in their portrayal that is commendable and notable.

The film loses some points when it comes to the control of its visual grammar, but minus a few production-related hiccups, the storytelling and the weaving together of all of these components offer an entertaining and amusing end result with a relevant, unequivocal comment that is made emphatically.
