The film opens with a moment of intense stress, a violent incident, following which the rest of the narrative begins to develop. Jada has come back home from work, but before she can even leave the car, she is met by her irate boyfriend who accuses her of cheating on him simply because she is delayed by a few minutes.
Despite all her sincere pleading, James is unrelenting in his disturbing approach to the situation which eventually culminates into a case of serious assault and domestic abuse. The narrative then attempts to explore the apathy of the world, sometimes even of your own family and loved ones, that forces women to stay in abusive relationships.
With nowhere to turn, Jada finally reaches out to her elder sister,Tameka, for help. Despite some protest from her own partner, Tameka is determined to help her sister. However, after Jada leaves the house of her abusive boyfriend, what dark developments await this family?
