The irony of the desire to provide for one's children and their adequate upbringing is that sometimes it takes parents away from that very thing. It ensures that the household, instead of being a space of warmth and nurturing, becomes defined by loneliness for the child as they strive to find emotional connect and affection. The attempt of My Little Alexaa is to portray the same issue.
A little girl called Shivani wakes up every day on her own, eats her breakfast by herself and then busies herself in her little games with a digital assistant on a pluggable device. In all these developments, the presence of an adult figure or that of her parents remains entirely missing. As the child gets inducted into a world of loneliness and emotional isolation, she surrounds herself with endless stacks of toys. While Shivani tries make sense of a circumstance childhood has still not prepared her for, the plot shares all its ideas with the viewer.
The short narrative is a firm stepping stone in the direction of future projects where the roughness could be smoothened out further. The final result in its current form, nevertheless, concludes with a lucid communication of its message, one that remains especially relevant in contemporary times.
