Mud Pie

By Nicholas Alexander with 6.4

horror · Short Films · english

The short film is about a stomach-churning encounter that a boy has with a set of beings many might be quite uncomfortable with. As the protagonist engages with an inane, seemingly regular activity of eating a dessert, little does he realize that he is about to become prey to an entity that will consume his entire existence.

Bill returns home one day to find a mud pie resting innocently on a table. A slice of the pie is missing, while a note accompanies it as well. He does what any regular person would do - reach for some cutlery and sit down to enjoy the dessert before him. While enjoying the beguiling delicacy, Bill becomes aware of his folly only after having gone past the point of no return.

The film exhibits great dedication and sincerity on the part of the cast and crew, especially in the manner the visuals are handled. It further displays the devotion of the only actor to achieve the deeply disconcerting effect that the film finally has on the viewer, leaving you with a tale of a regular mud pie experience gone terribly wrong, one which would stay with you long after you are done witnessing it.
