‘Julia’ is an endeavor that engages with loss, heartache, grief and the eventual acceptance that comes in its wake. The premise is explored and portrayed by employing a narrative which is completely devoid of any verbal exchange. Instead, it relies entirely on music and visual development to paint its world for you.

The result becomes a dedicated attempt, exhibiting earnestness and the intent to delineate the said ideas of pain and longing. The performance of its sole character and actor is a notable strength of the film. The screenplay too exhibits potential, even if defined by a limitation of resources, and consequently, a few errant shots.

On the whole, the final product depicts a bona fide desire to engage with its subject matter, and should be appreciated thus.
