The ancient Indian epic Mahabharata maps the war between the Pandavas and Kauravas. It also carries within it innumerable episodes and exchanges which offer deep insight into philosophical engagements about life, existence and the ways of the world. This particular short film engages with the specific fragment where Pandava queen Kunti visits Karna. The interaction is of significance in the epic because Karna was conceived between the queen and the sun god, and being born out of wedlock, was given away as a baby.

Because of the secrecy surrounding the whole affair, only Kunti is aware of Karna's lineage. Interestingly, Karana is now an influential commander in the opposing Kaurava army. Kunti has thus come to implore him to not go into battle against his own Pandava brothers, especially Arjun.

The narrative maps all of this and the consequent emotions that have found a home in the circumstances. The words and writing it employs are by Indian artist and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The film remains honest to its text, but also exhibits some rough edges in the department of editing and sound.
