Flow Like Wine

romance · Short Films · english

The short, devoid of any dialogue, coupled with simply a background score to fill the space, is about the exploration of a relationship between two people. A bridal couple arrives at a quiet corner of a park. Next to the fountain, they perch themselves, equipped with a wine bottle and glasses.

The scene is perfectly set for a romantic moment to unfold before us. However, the reality that develops is far from that. The plot progression is not a linear trajectory, instead presenting scenes and visuals to the viewer in a manner that invokes an experimental approach. Heartache becomes nestled within the story - it is perhaps a narrative about two people who kept missing each other, could never find themselves in the same space despite possessing the desire to be together.

The original outcome of the circumstance is left a little up to the viewer to make sense of with the deliberate convolution of the plot. The end result remains marked by an earnestness, endeavoring to utilize its limited resources to full efficiency.
