The film presents a physically confined reality of two characters who undertake a very dangerous, challenging scheme. In this scenario, hired assassins dispose of an important associate of a political campaign, and it is the ensuing conversation that forms the body of the film. 
The narrative employs intelligent use of its resources, keeping itself limited to a single room and a television screen, to invoke lofty ideas, as well as their critique. The writing and story construction exhibit strength and professionalism, and present a result that endeavors to take apart the intensely dysfunctional machinery of capitalism, where the rich get richer, and money and power remain the only true masters. 

The final result of the film presents a germ of an idea, albeit handled with attention to detail. Consequently, it reveals potential to be developed into a longer, deeper commentary on the same, alongside notable performances that shoulder this endeavor with skill.

Death is Business | Spotlight

The moment you interact with the world of the film, it becomes evident that its core underpinnings would be defined by a philosophical engagement. It wants to raise questions around morality, fidelity, the nature of relationships, and the manner in which betrayal (perhaps of more than one kind) gets accommodated within these dynamics. The object or concern around which all of this pivots is a gun. The inanimate object thus becomes the primary preoccupation of the plot as the protagonist questions what it truly stands for. This, in turn, allows the viewer to converse with the aforementioned motivations of the film, leading them to the developments that push the narrative forward. The final result exhibits a sincere endeavor of storytelling and performance, albeit with a few rough edges. It is further coupled with camerawork that is marked by deep potential, at the same time introducing you to the welcome possibility of more projects by the lean cast and crew of the film.

It is a cold, snowy night, the glumness only enhanced and pronounced by a sombre-looking man who carries a briefcase of paperwork. Making his way into a cafe, and quietly adding some alcoholic warmth to his hot beverage, he settles in a shadowy, isolated corner to work his way through the documents. 
 The film, so far, deliberately keeps you on your feet about what will come to form its core emotion and primary motivations. Would the consequent events be dramatic, thrilling, suspenseful or something altogether different? While the viewer grapples with the question, somewhere along the way they get introduced to a woman, a former college friend of the protagonist. After six years of not having spoken to one another, when Jacob and Lauren finally sit down with their drinks, the narrative truly begins to reveal its cards one by one. 
 A conversation about the past, its presence in the current moment, the nature of relationships, and more is invoked. The camerawork offers smooth visuals to further strengthen the endeavor. Lastly, at its conclusion, the final result, though not entirely minus some weaknesses, presents to you a sense of warmth found in the most unexpected and serendipitous circumstances.
