'Cinefilia' is a ride that is violent and entertaining in equal measure. Chris is a massive movie aficionado and our introduction to his world is immediate as the plot opens with a movie trivia quiz. With him at its center as the quiz-master, two of his friends spar with each other in the face of rapid questions. However, this otherwise-ordinary situation soon takes a bloody turn no one is prepared for, and thus begins the story in all its actuality.

The short film moves from one violent event to another, remaining peppered with lightheartedness and effervescence throughout. There is a deliberate attempt to not take itself too seriously, also ascertaining our approach to it as a viewer.

As the plot would have it, things spiral out of control, eventually leading the protagonist to one final gory development. When it arrives, it seals his fate irrevocably, while serving poetic justice to the audience in the characteristic, irreverent manner it has maintained all along.
