The film opens with a neat frame, dominated by a whiteness that almost threatens to wash out the character himself. As the narrative develops, it becomes evident that this perhaps suggests an overwhelming deluge of emotions that wages a fierce battle within our eponymous protagonist. Throughout the film, the undertow of familial complexities come to form a huge part of the plot which develops to reveal two parallel experiences - losing someone close to your heart, but also finding love in an unexpected manner.

While struggling to come to terms with his mother's chronic illness and imminent death, along with battling unresolved concerns with his father that the narrative only hints at, there is another development that awaits Brandon's life. A night of casual partying leads him to a space of romantic intimacy, and this comes to suggest another significant progression - the possibility of closure.

The film is constituted by notable performances, and a strong attempt to engage with grief, familial equations and the immense source of pain that they can be sometimes. Approach it as a calm, quiet interaction with all of these elements, marked by its minimalist and decluttered visuals of nude hues, and you would be fully and aptly prepared to experience the short film.
