All seems to be going well and the viewer is convinced this will be the main crisis of the film, and yet, without warning, the film takes a turn towards an engagement with Islamophobia. A petty communal comment leads to disturbing revelations and realisations, but also shows the character's conviction to not believe in hate, even if it requires of her a heart-wrenching decision.
