The thing that stands out the most in the film is the quiet that marks its storytelling. The narrative is about a morning in the life of a boy in Cyprus who wakes up early to go fishing. He patiently awaits a catch, also finding himself shy and conscious of a party of young men and a woman close-by. The muted palette of the visuals, in complete synchronisation with the tone of the narrative, ensures that the heat of the day becomes palpable for the viewer, preempting an explanation for the action that would soon come to unfold on screen.

The film is a soft, calm encapsulation of a little boy's first impactful interaction with the adult world. Once the realisation dawns upon him, the same activity of fishing, meant to simply secure some petty cash, acquires a new meaning. As he moves from opportunity, negotiation to finally turning the reward of his efforts into a meaningful, selfless act, the film covers a beautifully weaved journey of our young protagonist to perhaps his first act of mature devotion and affection.

There is an undeniable connection between concept and expression in the final product, exhibiting potential of its young team, further leaving the door open for more storytelling by them.
